Joseph and Jessica Dominguez have been an absolute blessing to our organization this year. They lead two training sessions for our 11 students ages 18-26. During the first session, they thoroughly broke down housing in Denver, explaining some of the major changes occurring in the city and informing students on how much it currently costs to live in the city. After hearing how much it costs to live in Denver a few of our students felt discouraged so Joseph and Jessica returned for a follow-up session walking students through a step by step guide to purchasing their first home. Their presentation left our students and staff feeling informed and empowered. They were clear, organized, and it was evident they cared deeply about the audience they were speaking to. Not only did they invest their time into our organization, they also contributed financially by being a sponsor for our fall fundraising event. On their website Love Thy Neighbor, it states they believe in “strengthening communities by putting love into action,” our organization has witnessed them walk this belief out gracefully. The Issachar Center for Urban Leadership would proudly recommend Love Thy Neighbor.
